While a number of airlines such as Virgin Atlantic offer massage and meditation, Blue Star Jets, the New York based private airline, is going a few wrinkles further. Its air salon service is to provide passengers with everything from Botox injections, to remove those unwanted lines, to cheek implants and breast lifts.

But don't worry the service is not an extension of cabin staff duty so you won't have them clambering across your lap at 30,000ft. Instead, the surgery will be carried as part of Blue Star's service to clients by Dr Z Paul Lorenc, a Manhattan -based plastic surgeon.

In flight, however, you will be able to receive a full hair design service for $5000 as well as a massage, manicure and pedicure.

The airline's vice-president, ex-model Debbie Dickinson, says: "Many of our clients travel to big events such as the Oscars and need a "pick me up".
