The Pensions Regulator has recently published
a number of draft codes of practice on occupational
pension schemes. The codes look at the rights
of members to leave occupational pension schemes
early; how to report late payments of contributions
to occupational schemes; how to report late contributions
to personal pensions; and guidance on how to handle
Internal Disputes between eligible persons and
the Trustees or Pension Fund Managers. These draft
codes will be available for review and consultation
until 29 July, with the final codes of practice
expected to be published in December this year.
The new regulations are due to come into force
in April 2006.
